Marking a new chapter in Kuwait’s corporate and healthcare history, the grand finale of Metro Medical Group’s 10th anniversary was celebrated in a magnificent manner, emerging as a moment of pride for the Indian expatriate community. Planned and executed under Indian management leadership, the event evolved into a platform for discussions of international relevance. Held at the Regency Hotel, Salmiya, the program stood out for its exceptional standards, massive public participation, and outstanding organizational excellence. The celebration became a historic milestone highlighting the global growth of Kuwait’s healthcare sector and the credibility of Indian-led institutions. Several key topics were discussed, emphasizing India’s valuable contribution to Kuwait’s healthcare landscape, making it a source of pride for the nation.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sheikh Azam Mubarak Al-Nasser Al-Sabah as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated Metro Medical Group and praised its significant contributions to Kuwait’s healthcare sector. He emphasized that Metro Medical Group would continue to play a vital role in the future development of healthcare in Kuwait. The event was officially inaugurated by Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, a prominent religious, social, and cultural leader and a member of the Panakkad family. Due to the ongoing Kerala Legislative Assembly session, Kerala Health Minister Veena George and Speaker Shamseer Nasser were unable to attend; however, their representative, Kuttanad MLA Thomas K. Thomas, inaugurated the first session of the event. Additionally, 26 embassy officials and ambassadors attended the program. Senior officials from various ministries, eminent personalities from healthcare, commerce, and industry, as well as leaders from religious, social, and cultural organizations, were present. With representatives from multiple countries, the event became a rare international congregation in Kuwait’s history, symbolizing the strong global influence of Indian-led institutions in the country’s healthcare sector.
A specially produced video presentation highlighting Metro Medical Group’s decade-long growth journey was one of the main attractions of the event. The video showcased Kuwait’s earlier healthcare conditions, Metro’s inception, its consistent service excellence, present achievements, and its future vision for healthcare. It received wide appreciation and sparked meaningful discussions. Another special video featuring the experiences and vision of Founder Chairman and CEO Mustafa Hamza deeply moved the audience and paved the way for serious deliberations.
The Chairman announced that a new treatment initiative—incorporating advanced medical practices, innovative technologies, and a specialized “Team Doctors” system—would be launched across all major Metro Medical Group branches starting in February.
Individuals who played a decisive role in Metro Medical Group’s growth and success over the past decade were honored at the ceremony. Employees who completed ten years of service received a memento, certificate, and KD 2,000 each as a mark of appreciation. Additionally, individuals, institutions, management team members, and team leaders who made invaluable contributions to the organization’s progress were honored with special awards and mementos. All companies and organizations that continuously supported Metro Medical Group since its inception were also recognized with mementos.
